About Me
I have always had a passion for art, and paper and colouring pencils or paint were always my favourite present from the time I was old enough to hold a pencil.
I studied art to ‘ A’ Level at school, and later went to Art School.

Coming to Spain has provided a wonderful opportunity to indulge my love of painting, as like so many of my students there are fewer time constraints from a growing family. I have a studio at our house, and apart from the paintings you will see in the Gallery I have undertaken a number of commissions for portraits, including one of the Mayor of Rojales.
I have been teaching classes for mature students two mornings a week since 2004, and now three, and have discovered real fulfilment in helping others to develop their skills. It is very satisfying to see people improve beyond their expectations, and some of my students have been producing wonderful work.
My other passions have always been drama and writing.
I began my theatrical ‘career’ with Harpenden Methodist Players in the late 60’s and cut my acting
teeth on such plays as Haul for the Shore and Running Riot.
In the seventies I moved to Singapore with husband David and two little girls and for nearly four
years belonged to the Stage Club. I also began writing for a local magazine as well as some TV
programmes for Television Singapore, and three pantomimes.
Since we retired to Spain in 2002 I started a theatre company here called 'Dramatic Licence'
which to date has performed twelve shows to great acclaim and raised 23,000 euros for the local Alzheimer’s’ Society.
I have also had the freedom to write since moving to this country. I worked as reporter and ‘gardening columnist’ for the local newspaper Round Town News for nearly two years but gave it up because I wanted to write fiction.
Combining these two interests I wrote my first book called ‘Stage Struck’, about an amateur drama group in a small leafy town in England. I have since written a romance called ‘Venetian Masquerade’ which is available on Kindle, and as yet unpublished book about a Dating Agency.
